So, you probably know that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations is made up of 10 countries. It started out as a group that wanted to fight communism in the region, but it's grown into something much bigger. Now it is about promoting economic integration, social progress, and cultural development. But, what if all those countries decided to come together and form one single country? That country would be the 7th biggest country by area in the whole world - even bigger than India but smaller than Australia. The population would be massive too, with around 670 million people. That would make this new country the third most populated country in the world, behind only China and India. But, what about the economy? Well, this new country would have a GDP of around 3.7 trillion USD. To put it in perspective, it would be just behind Germany, but ahead of India, the UK, and France. However, the GDP per capita would be only about 5 thousand dollars which is well below the world average of 12 thousand USD. The capital would probably be Jakarta in Indonesia since its already the headquarter of the organization
